Notes and Stories!

A party favorite. This is a fairly popular and common party food, but every time I bring this to a gathering I find at least one person who has never had it before and demands I bring it every time we get together. Like all great party dishes you can make this in big or small batches and it requires very little effort. Also it is delicious.

I usually use 16oz of cream cheese for every 2-3 chicken breasts. I really just eyeball the rest of the ingredients to just kind of make sure theres enough cheese to satisfy my heart and enough ranch and hot sauce to cover the chicken and cheese.

Hot Sauce and Cheese: I recommend using a less spicy more vinegary hot sauce for this. I usually go for Franks Red Hot. The vinegar helps cut through all the fat in the ranch and cheese, and this is a party dish and not everyone is going to like setting their mouth on fire. For the cheese, most recipes you find for this will recommend mozzerella or cheddar cheese. Those are both excellent options and I personally think cheddar is the best for flavor. I usually do a mixture of the two because I also want the stretch from the mozz. But any cheese you like is going to be good in this, its a great way to get rid of that half bag of shredded cheese that been hanging out in your fridge for a month. I once had 5 different leftover cheeses from a different recipe that needed to be used up. I tossed them all in this dip and it was amazing.
